Born in Rimini, but adopted by the city of Bologna, Mario Pinzi began his career as a journalist in 1965 at
Il Corriere della Sera. Numerous important professional experiences followed including working with Indro Montanelli at Il Giornale Nuovo, which he subsequently left for Il Resto del Carlino where he worked until 1983. The following year marked a turning-point in his career when, along with a group of colleagues and his sister Ivana, who passed away recently, he founded PRS Consulting Group and shortly after, the European Press Agency. In creating this new approach to offering services to the press and industry, Pinzi combined his sound journalistic experience with his great entrepreneurial bent.
A person with a multi-faceted character, between 2005 and 2007 Pinzi wrote two successful thrillers - L’Editore and Il Gioco della Morte, published by the Bolognese publishing house CambiaMenti - both of which have been reprinted several times.
